Gilda’s Club Gala

Gilda’s Club South Florida hosted a memorable dinner event Saturday night, March 16th. The gala was their main fundraising event and they were also debuting their new Sharyn Bey Productions video.
Working on this project was an emotional journey for me. I lost my husband to Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and know full well the ins and outs relating to the members and their care givers. Amazingly, these people responded to the camera in a manner I have not seen before. The openness, heartfelt dialogue and level of comfort were immediately apparent. At times, I was just plain dumbstruck. The honesty of the messages create a glow of peace and calm throughout the video. I owe deep thanks to the many members who voluntarily bared their souls to the naked lens so fearlessly! They made my work a work of art!!!
